Report complaints
At ADSA we
do our utmost to render a good service to the
Christian community with the staff, time and resources at
our disposal. Although
ADSA strives to uphold Christian norms, the editors do not
necessarily endorse the views of advertisers, their quality
of service or products. Report
complaints about advertisers to the webmaster, if the need
arises. Also see our page:
Blacklist:
Internet fraud, scams, spam or bad manners. |
|
| 2.
Options
ADSA provides a service by publishing
small advertisements on the Internet, often for institutions
or persons who have no web space of their own.
Refer to FREE Ads
and Conditions for Free Ads, or
Paid Options, to make the
right choice for you. |
|
| 3. Updates
ADSA is updated every 6 to 8 weeks and the
first publication of approved free
applications are free
of charge. However if clients want changes, additions or
updates AFTER the first publication, they will need to
reapply for the next issue, or will have to apply for the
Paid Options. Waiting
lists, the type of update needed, the new content of the
text and so on, will be the determining factors if such an
advertisement update will be handled in the free ads
category again, or will have to move over to the
Paid Options.
Questions about this can be sent to ADSA by using the
feedback form. |

Deadline dates
The ADSA website is not updated daily or
weekly, but is published on cycles that
are planned well in
advance. The dates on the application form indicate when
applications close, as well as the estimated publishing
date. Persons who do not want to publish their items within
the boundaries of the publishing cycle, will have to wait
for a future issue, or apply for the
Paid Options. Also
read Intermediate Editions. |
|

Search engines
Some large search engines are quick to index
sites, but others take a bit longer. The search engines take
from 2 up to 6 weeks to register the additions. For the
maximum use of the Internet medium, it is strongly advised
that ads with deadline dates, are published well in advance
(30 to 40 days). |
|
| 9.
Area Codes
Please supply your email address (for office
use only). Preferably two for better communication between
the ADSA office and the applicant.
To combat
the abuse or harvesting of email addresses, ADSA does not
publish email addresses in advertisements. All referrals
are sent forward to our clients, who must handle it from
there. The telephone numbers
given on the ADSA website are applicable to South Africa,
unless otherwise indicated, but it is recommended that
applicable codes are supplied for visitors from abroad. The
Internet is by implication international. |
|
| 10. Request
denied If
an advertisement can not be placed, the applicant will be
informed by email accordingly. The decision not to place an
advertisement, will be the choice of the webmaster only. Any
item not in line with Christian moral values, will not be
published. This is also applicable for items on the
blacklist, or items that are part of a swindling scheme. The
webmaster reserves the right to deny a request without
providing any reason. |
|
| 11.
Blacklist Applicants whose
names or websites already appears on the blacklist of
another organization, will forfeit the privilege to use
ADSA's services. ADSA also maintains an internal blacklist
of sites that try to degrade or ridicule Christian moral
values. Applicants who link to such sites, are not approved.

Newsletters
Relevant information
may be emailed to ADSA via our
inquiry form, but please do not flood the ADSA office
with any newsletters, jokes, slide shows, internal memos of
your business or organization, etc. We are very interested
in our clients and their concerns, but the handling of such
items takes time, and burdens our mail administration. There
are two times of the year when this rule is set aside:
Easter and Christmas. |
|
| 13.
Spam
ADSA intensely detests spam (unsolicited bulk
email). It overburdens systems and wastes time and money. Not
to mention all the obscene content, as well as viruses that
are spread in that way. Since 2004, ADSA requires its staff
to report all spam. It is DEFINITELY NOT ADSA's policy to
send unnecessary emails to clients. Neither do we send any
type of newsletters or notices. The email originating from
the ADSA office, is always relevant and usually a referral
or a question from a visitor about an advertisement. |
|
| 14.
Copyright ADSA will not
publish ads that use copyrighted material (text and/or
images) from other websites. Also note that all material on
the ADSA site is under copyright and that pictures,
illustrations, photos and text may NOT be used without our
written permission.

advertisements ON BEHALF of clients.

|
| 17.
Calls
Volunteers or staff at ADSA may NOT make or
receive phone calls to or from clients. All requests must be
made via the feedback form and later on via email, so that
all items are on record. Please do not ask staff to call
you. |
|

personal information to visitors. That includes information
about clients, the sponsors or staff members. Privacy is
very important to us and is handled as such. Great care is
taken for the security of personal information and it is

by ADSA's server on a Sunday, will be processed on the next
business day and thereafter. This also applies to Christian
holidays. |

email programs associated with spyware when communicating
with our office. ADSA's system do not accept emails sent
with such email programs and such emails are deleted without
further ado. |
|
| 21. Staff

handle our staff and volunteers with the necessary courtesy

be a huge and difficult task. |
